SIR in Telangana: Draft electoral rolls to have names of electors whose Enumeration Forms are received
As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana, draft electoral rolls — to be published on July 31, 2026 — will have names of all electors whose Enumeration Forms are received.
Thereafter, Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) will issue notices to people who could not be linked or there is discrepancy in their linking with the electoral rolls of the last revision. In Telangana, the SIR was last conducted in 2002 when the State was part of erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh. A list of such persons to whom notices have been issued will be published.
After receiving the notices, electors have to submit documents for self establishing date of birth and place of birth if they are born in India before July 1, 1987. Besides that, people have to submit documents of mother or father if the electors are born in India between July 1, 1987 and December 2, 2004, and after December 2, 2004.
The draft electoral rolls will be available on the website of Chief Electoral Officer, displayed at offices of EROs, Assistant EROs, BLOs and provided to political parties.
Two days after the Election Commission of India announced a detailed schedule of SIR for Telangana, Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana C. Sudharshan Reddy addressed a press conference in Hyderabad on Saturday (May 16), stating that people who received the notices have to submit one of the 12 documents which includes Aadhaar Card.

The Enumeration Forms with some details printed — such as EPIC number, name, passport size photo — will be distributed by BLOs to each elector and help them in filling the rest of the details. The Enumeration Forms are also available online at ECI’s website (https://voters.eci.gov.in/). Except for the Enumeration form, no other document is collected during the Enumeration phase.
