
Tambaram police seize 21 kg ganja, 1,900 narcotic tablets
Tambaram City Police seized 21 kg of ganja and 1,900 Tapentadol tablets in special anti-drug operations conducted on May 14 and 15 across the commissionerate limits.
Commissioner of Police Sanjay Kumar said police have intensified checks against narcotics trafficking, illegal liquor sales, public drinking, and drunken driving, warning of strict action against offenders.
Two women arrested in cyber fraud case
In a separate case, the Central Crime Branch Cyber Crime Wing arrested two women for allegedly cheating a New Perungalathur resident of over ₹15 lakh by posing as insurance agents.
A special team traced the accused to a private office at RK Towers in Guindy after analysing mobile phone records. During the raid, police seized mobile phones, computers, laptops, and SIM cards allegedly used for cyber fraud.
