‘Inspector Avinash’ season 2 trailer: Randeep Hooda returns as the tough cop in high stakes crime-thriller

The trailer of the second season of Randeep Hooda’s upcoming show, Inspector Avinash was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday (May 6, 2026). Directed by Neerraj Pathak, the show also stars Urvashi Rautela, Amit Sial, Abhimanyu Singh, Rajneish Duggal, Shalin Bhanot, and Freddy Daruwala in key roles.

The trailer sets the tone for the grim world of the new season which is set in the 1990s Uttar Pradesh as Inspector Avinash Mishra (Randeep) finds himself caught in a storm that is as personal as it is political. His son is implicated in a murder case and his marriage is on the brink. Meanwhile, on the field, he battles a world of corruption and crime as a gang lord, Sheikh and his accomplice Devi, expand a deadly weapons cartel. The show promises to be a thrilling outing, filled with emotionally charged confrontations and high-stakes action.

Speaking about it, Randeep said in a statement, “This season strips Avinash down to his core. He’s not just fighting crime anymore he’s fighting for his family, his truth, and his survival. The scale is bigger, the action is raw, and the emotions run deeper. It’s a much more intense ride.”

Director Neeraj added, “Season 2 takes everything that worked in the first season and pushes it into a far more volatile space. Avinash is no longer just up against criminals, he’s up against a system that’s collapsing around him. We’ve scaled up the action, but more importantly, we’ve deepened the emotional conflict, because this time, the fight is as personal as it is external”

Presented by Jio Studios, the series is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Neerraj Pathak, Gold Mountain Pictures and Krishan Choudhary. It will be released on JioHotstar on May 15.
