Tata AIA Life Insurance declares ₹2,173 cr. bonus

Tata AIA Life Insurance on Monday announced a bonus payout of ₹2,173 crore for 2025-26, for its participating (par) policyholders.

Over 8.74 lakh policies will benefit from the payout, which is 18% higher compared with ₹1,842 crore declared in the previous fiscal. The bonus for FY26 is the highest thus far, in the company’s history, the life insurer said. It has been declared across eligible participating insurance plans.

Participating insurance plans, commonly known as ‘Par’ plans are life insurance policies that share profits with policyholders in the form of bonuses. While these bonuses are not guaranteed, they are typically declared each year based on the performance of the insurer’s participating (or with-profits) fund, the company said.

“The record bonus declaration reflects Tata AIA’s disciplined investment strategy, prudent fund management and continued commitment to delivering long-term value to our policyholders,” Appointed Actuary of Tata AIA Life Insurance Kshitij Sharma said in a release.
