Restoration work at Hindustan Petroleum’s a refinery-cum-petrochemical complex in Rajasthan’s Balotra district, which caught fire before its inauguration earlier this week, is in progress and is expected to be completed in the next three to four weeks, the state-owned oil-marketing company informed in a social media post on Saturday evening (April 25, 2026).
It added that the crude distillation unit, which is the primary unit of any refinery, is expected to restart in the “second fortnight of May this year” whilst the other secondary units are already at an advanced stage of commissioning as planned.
