CNG is now priced from at ₹80.09 per kilogram in the NCT of Delhi with the latest hike. Previously, on Friday (May 15, 2026) CNG prices were hiked by ₹2.
In a statement issued Sunday (May 17, 2026), North India’s largest CNG distributor, Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) explained the latest hike seeks to marginally offset the impact of the increase in input gas cost.
“The revision in retail prices of CNG has been effected only to marginally offset the impact of increase in input gas cost along with steep appreciation of USD,” the statement read, adding, “Even after revision, CNG would still offer up to 45% saving towards the running cost when compared to vehicles running on alternate fuel at the current level of prices.”
Other than Delhi, hikes were also observed at the gas distributor’s pumps in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana.
Effective price of CNG in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida and Ghaziabad is ₹88.70 per Kg, Meerut ₹88.58 per kg and Kanpur ₹91.42 per kg.
In Rajasthan’s Pali and Ajmer CNG now costs ₹89.44 per kg.
Meanwhile, in Haryana’s Rewari it is now available at ₹84.70 per kg and₹85.12 per kg in Gurugram.
Other than IGL, regional operators in several parts of country too have hiked prices since Friday in separate staggered piecemeal manner.
