Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle passed away in Mumbai on April 12, 2026.
Bhosle, who recorded more than 12,000 songs in over 20 Indian and foreign languages, is widely considered one of the most versatile voices in Indian music. Over the decades, she recorded more songs than any other female playback singer of her time.
