Stray dogs poisoned to death in Salem

Five stray dogs were allegedly poisoned to death in Salem district on Friday (May 1, 2026).

The complainant Meena (37), a resident of Rakkipatti near Omalur, would take care of several stray dogs on the premises of her house. Over the past few days, four of these dogs died one after the other. On Friday, another dog fell sick. She took the animal to the veterinary doctor but it died at the clinic.
