Rohit Jain takes over as RBI Deputy Governor

Rohit Jain on Monday assumed charge as Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

He was Executive Director of the RBI Reserve before being elevated.  As Deputy Governor, he will look after Department of External Investments and Operations, Financial Markets Regulation Department, Internal Debt Management Department, Foreign Exchange Department, Fintech Department, Risk Monitoring Department, Department of Information Technology, Department of Government and Bank Accounts, Corporate Strategy and Budget Department, and Rajbhasha Department.
