‘Maamla Legal Hai’ season 2 trailer: Ravi Kishan becomes the judge in Netflix’s courtroom comedy

The trailer of the season 2 of Netflix’s courtroom comedy, Maamla Legal Hai, was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday, March 11. Headlined by Ravi Kishan, the series has been directed by Rahul Pandey and also stars Naila Grewal, Nidhi Bisht, Anant Joshi, Anjum Batra and Kusha Kapila in pivotal roles.

The trailer begins with Ravi’s character VD Tyagi, engaging in a dance along with his subordinates as they celebrate his appointment as the judge of Patparganj District Court. Kusha joins the court this time serving as a competitor of Naila’s Ananya, the Harvard return lawyer. There are a bunch of strange cases that the lawyers fight for with quirky clients. The show promises to take ahead the humour of the first season, with a touch of emotions.

Speaking about the show, showrunner and Executive Producer Sameer Saxena said in a statement, “With Season 2, we’ve consciously broadened the mad world of Patparganj District Court — the characters have grown, there are far more interpersonal dynamics at play, and the cases are more outrageous, but the heart remains the same. We would love for the audience to come back, enjoy the madness, and see where this wild ride takes them next. None of this would have been possible without Netflix’s belief in our story and our world, and we look forward to deepening this partnership in the seasons to come.”

Maamla Legal Hai has been produced by Poshan Pa Pictures and written by Kunal Aneja, Syed Shadan, Mohak Aneja, and Tatsat Pandey. It will be released on Netflix on April 3.
