‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ trailer: Varun Dhawan gets sandwiched in love and chaos in David Dhawan directorial

The trailer of Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was unveiled by the makers on Saturday (May 23, 2026). Directed by David Dhawan, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Pooja Hegde, Maniesh Paul, Chunky Pandey, Jimmy Shergill and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.

The trailer opens in court where Varun and Mrunal’s characters are speaking to the judge. Varun reveals that he wants to be a father. He then meets Pooja in London, who asks him if he is single and he replies in the positive. The two fall in love and Mrunal lands at their home one day, telling him that she is pregnant. Even Pooja’s character reveals to Varun that she is pregnant. Jimmy plays Pooja’s brother, who threatens Varun, leading to some humorous moments. The film promises to be a chaotic comedy-drama, with an ensemble cast.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has been written by Yunus Sajawal with dialogues by Farhad Samji. It is shot by Ayananka Bose and edited by Ritesh Soni.

Produced by Ramesh Taurani, the film will be released in theatres on June 5.
