PWL | Delhi downs Mumbai, keeps semifinal hopes alive

Delhi Dangal Warriors registered a crucial 6–3 victory against Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals in Match 13 to stay in contention for a semifinal spot in the Pro Wrestling League here even as the Mumbai side ended its disappointing campaign without a point.

Delhi started with a close 4-3 win for Turan Bayramov in the 74kg against Deepak but any hopes of a fightback from Mumbai ended as Delhi raced to a 5-0 lead to all but seal two match points at the halfway stage itself. Jyoti Sihag (53kg) and Mukul Dahiya (86kg) provided some fightback but Ronak edged past Rajat 3–2 in the 125kg to confirm the win.

Already out of contention, Mumbai captain Aman Sehrawat did not take the mat in the 57kg but his replacement Sumit still won after Shubham Kaushik forfeited the bout.
