Police to get ₹12,846 cr. allocation

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has proposed ₹12,846 crore for the Delhi police for 2026-27. Of the total allocation, ₹11,881.55 crore has been earmarked under the revenue head and ₹964.60 crore for capital expenditure. The Budget Estimates for 2025-26 stood at ₹12,259.16 crore.

The revenue allocation will be used for payment of salaries and pensions, said a senior officer.
