
Netflix confirms split-cour plan for ‘Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’

Netflix has said that the second stage of Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, the latest adaptation of Hirohiko Araki’s popular manga series, will be released in Fall 2026. The streaming platform announced in a Tweet that these episodes will follow a weekly release schedule

The premiere date of the second stage is yet to be revealed. Netflix took to X (Twitter) to tell its viewers about the plans for a split-cour format across the series’ full run. It isn’t official whether the format applies only to the upcoming second stage or to the adaptation as a whole.
However, it remains unclear whether this structure applies specifically to the forthcoming second stage—also referred to as the “next cour”—or to the adaptation as a whole. “Thank you for all the incredible support for Steel Ball Run Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. The series is currently in production and will be available for everyone to enjoy,” Netflix wrote on X.
“We are planning a split-cour release across entire run of episodes. The next cour (2nd Stage) will begin streaming in fall 2026 on Netflix, with one new episode to be released each week,” the streaming platform added.
Netflix acknowledged the support of fans, saying their “passion and enthusiasm” have been significant to the production process. Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takashi are the directors of the series.

Yasuko Kobayashi is in charge of series composition, with character designs by Daisuke Tsumagari and music composed by Yugo Kanno. Toshiyuki Kato serves is the series director. The first stage of the anime premiered on Netflix on March 19, 2026.
