As concerns grow over shortage of commercial Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Hyderabad, paying guest (PG) accommodations and private hostels across the city have begun to feel the impact, with several owners reporting a sharp drop in supply and warning that prolonged disruption could affect the preparation of meals for residents.

The shortage comes amid ongoing supply constraints flagged by the Union Petroleum Ministry, which has indicated that distribution of LPG cylinders has been affected in several regions due to logistical and supply chain pressures amid ongoing conflict in West Asia. The situation has sparked anxiety among establishments that rely heavily on a steady flow of commercial cylinders to run their kitchens.
