Fearless Sahibzada Farhan tears through Indian bowlers to slam 50 in IND vs PAK

Sahibzada Farhan took the attack to the Indian bowlers in IND vs PAK Super 4 clash and spared no one including Bumrah

Sahibzada Farhan’s good form against India continued as he raced to a 35-ball half-century in the Super 4 clash against India on Sunday. After being dropped on zero by Abhishek Sharma, the Pakistan made the most of the lifeline and spared no Indian bowler, including Jasprit Bumrah. Farhan’s fearless striking provided the perfect start for Pakistan as they raced to 91/1 in 10 overs.

Farhan slammed five fours and three sixes en route to his half-century. He slammed a maximum off Axar Patel in the 10th over to reach his fifty. After he was handed a lifeline by Abhishek, Farhan went after Bumrah, scoring 18 runs across 2 overs. He didn’t spare Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav or Axar either, as he struck a maximum off each of their overs.

There was probably a slight second chance for India to get rid of Farhan in third delivery of the 8th over but that too was squandered by India. Abhishek had to sprint towards his right at long on in an attempt to catch Farhan at the boundary but missed it, as it soared past him for a six.

Prior to this game, Farhan had registered scores of 29 against Oman, 40 against India and 5 against UAE. Farhan is relatively new to T20Is, having played only 23 games so far and has amassed 452 runs to his name. The fifty against India on Sunday marks his 4th overall.

Meanwhile, Pakistan registered their highest powerplay score against India in IND vs PAK Super 4 tie after getting to 55/1 at the end of 6 overs. Pakistan, who lost the previous game to India by 7 wickets, lost the toss and were put in to bat first by India captain Suryakumar Yadav.
