‘D55’: ‘Rowdy Baby’ duo Dhanush and Sai Pallavi reunite for ‘Amaran’ director’s next

Actor Sai Pallavi has joined the cast of Tamil star Dhanush’s upcoming film with Amaran-maker Rajkumar Periasamy, the makers announced on Monday (February 1). The film, tentatively called D55, marks a reunion between Dhanush and Sai Pallavi after Maari 2, which featured them in the hit song ‘Rowdy Baby’. This is also a reunion between Sai Pallavi and Rajkumar after 2024’s blockbuster Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Amaran.

Wunderbar Films, Dhanush’s production banner, announced the news on X by sharing pictures of Dhanush, Rajkumar and producer Sreyas welcoming Sai Pallavi to the project.

Notably, this comes just days after the makers announced that actor Sreeleela, recently seen in Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi, has joined the cast of the film.

D55, produced by Wunderbar Films and RTake Studios, has music scored by Sai Abhyankkar. Other details regarding the plot of the film remain unknown.

Last seen in the Telugu film Thandel, Sai Pallavi will be seen next in Ek Din, co-starring Junaid Khan, and the magnum opus Ramayana, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor.
