With K-pop group BTS all set to release their fifth album Arirang on March 20 and subsequently embark on an expansive global concert tour, Netflix in partnership with entertainment company Hybe has announced that BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, an event set to take place in Seoul on March 21 celebrating their album release will stream live on their platform globally.

The event, set to take place at the historical landmark Gwanghwamun, will have the septet— RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook come together and take the stage for a comeback performance. British director Hamish Hamilton, who has directed the Superbowl Halftime shows since 2010 and several other live events including the Academy Awards will direct this performance.
On March 27, Netflix will also release a feature length documentary, BTS: The Return, which chronicles the septet reuniting after a hiatus as a group. Directed by Bao Nguyen, who has previously made the documentaries, The Stringer: The Man Who Took The Photo (2025) and The Greatest Night In Pop (2024), Netflix has said that the documentary will be a portrait of resilience, brotherhood, and reinvention as the group works on their new music in Los Angeles, delves into their creative processes, and taking their music journey forward.

Fans the world over have been eagerly awaiting the group’s comeback this year, following a three-year hiatus wherein the members went on to complete their mandatory military enlistment in South Korea and worked on solo projects which included albums and concerts.
Last month, BTS announced an extensive global world tour which begins in April and will see them travel to 34 cities including Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles, Paris and London for over 80 shows. Several shows sold out within minutes of tickets going live, further fuelling excitement surrounding their comeback and music.
