The Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) on Thursday announced formal collaboration with the LIV Golf International Series to provide a direct access and entry for Indian golfers to various global events and provide a platform to progress into elite-level golf.
Through the partnership IGPL’s leading players, at mutually-agreed points during the season, would earn spots in various International Series events across the calendar, giving them a chance to test themselves against elite golfers.
The collaboration was formalised on the sidelines of Aramco LIV Golf Singapore in the presence of LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil, IGPL CEO Uttam Singh Mundy among others.
“LIV Golf is committed to growing the global ecosystem, expanding player opportunities and rewarding top performance around the world. Aligning IGPL with LIV Golf and The International Series helps create a clearer ladder for talented players to progress through these pathways,” O’Neil said in a statement.
