Six arrested for planning to steal hawala money


The North Beach police have arrested six persons for planning to stage a drama and steal hawala money from businessmen.

City police said Mohammad Moideen, who works at Burma Bazaar, used to take hawala money collected from various businessmen at Burma Bazaar and NAC Bose Road. He planned to stage a robbery for which he sought the help of five persons T. Mugilan, S. Ajay, M. Murugesh, N. Amithu, and I. Bhaskar.
