Bandi Sanjay performs puja for ‘campaign vehicles’, kick-starts BJP civic poll campaign in Karimnagar

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar kicked off the BJP’s civic poll campaign for Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC) by performing puja to the campaign vehicles and addressing street corner meetings in Karimnagar on Monday.

Addressing a roadside meeting at Kisannagar on Monday evening, Mr. Sanjay alleged that the ruling Congress dispensation failed to release a single pie for the KMC in the last two years.

He hit out at the BRS accusing its leaders of looting public money and indulging in land grabbing during the 10-year-rule of the BRS.

He alleged that the BRS rulers diverted the Central funds. “Give the BJP the mandate to govern the KMC and I will take up the responsibility of bringing more funds to the civic body,” he said, making an appeal to the denizens of Karimnagar to elect the BJP candidates in the February 11 civic polls.
